There are 2 double cabins, the master cabin (forward) has wardrobe and large volume cupboard storage, and has been stripped back to the hull and re-lined. The second cabin (amidships) is currently in use as single bedroom, but previously had a full size permanent double bed. Both cabins have a radiator and new 75mm insulation. There is also a handbasin in each cabin.
The large, bright saloon wheelhouse easily takes a two seater sofa, armchair and a table for dining. Double doors lead to the rear cockpit with teak grill deck and panelling, under canopy.
The refit also included a new Lavac toilet, large stainless steel holding tank, bespoke stainless steel shower tray and Grohe shower. Toilet/shower room also contains a heated towel rail.
The galley was also rebuilt to accommodate a 40mm Iroko worktop with Vanette 4 hob oven/grill, fridge, washing machine, tumble drier
Almost all interior woodwork is teak tongue and groove, as fitted in 1970's conversion. Floors are stripped pine boards throughout.
All 240v system was fitted new, with 800w Inverter/charger. All 12v cables for water, toilet and shower drain pumps are also new.
The box-section stempost was professionally rebuilt in 2005, and the hull re-inspected while Geertruida was out of the water.
Beautiful new iroko leeboards were built and fitted. The barge is outfitted with main- and foresail; good geometry means it is a one man job to raise or lower the mast with the anchor winch. 2x fresh water tanks, 2x fuel tanks. Main and rear anchors, spare props.
All windows are good quality alloy frames.
The vessel was surveyed in 2004, and has BSC to 2008. Geertruida crossed the channel in 2005 and was regularly sailed in Holland until then. She is now a very comfortable home on a secure mooring. While close to a London mainline station, the location is very tranquil. There is also ample parking.Storage sheds
